I’ve started to cram Intermediate Japanese Core 6000 on Smart.fm. I must be mad.

It’s not like I can ever complete a sentence on my own, but as long as I can understand my drama’s I’m happy.

I wonder if Korean is just as difficult as Japanese. I mean, it’s stripe stripe dot dot, dot stripe… how hard can it be? XDDD!

Smart.fm “upgrade”

Smart.fm version (?) is out. It’s the first time I’ve experienced a maintenance time at least. The site has been restructured/ revamped. I’m not entirely sure why there was a need for those extra options really. I thought iKnow / Dictation and the Brainspeed game was enough. Now I can’t see how far I’m lagging behind with my Dictation so easily.

Also, when I press F5 to reload the score, mastered items often only works on a second attempt.

Oh well! It’s still the best site I’ve seen when it comes to online learning.

If it would actually let me I would have completed a lot more. “You can’t study any more items today”. STFU. How do you know my brain capacity? How? But it’s actually good that it stops you, that’s how I forget everything after 2 weeks. Hopefully now that it’s holding me back the input is going to stick.

Brainspeed

I’ve been studying Japanese diligently at smart.fm. I study in Kana mode because that’s what I can do right now, Kanji mode would be impossibly slow. I’m in great luck that I had 100% on word recognition of JLPT3 and JLPT4 a month ago, so it helps speeding things up. Dictation is somewhat of a challenge because I didn’t practise any grammar yet.

What I really like is the game “Brainspeed”.

I could play that game for hours on end.

Learning languages isn’t very difficult for me, math however… could be a challenge. lol. I also dislike my mother tongue, especially to write in. I’d be writing a sentence and then forgetting the Dutch word for something and the English is right there. Never ever have that the other way around.
