Media catalog update

Because I’m awesome like that, spent some time improving my “Asian Media Catalog”. It used to be named “Jmedia” but since KPOP also appeared I decided a different name. This thing is also the base for the Downloads Master Post on top of my blog here. You could call it the “light version”. ^o^ On the theme I’m running now it didn’t quite adjust to it too well but poo, don’t want to fix it.

Programming is one thing I will pretend to know nothing about around the office:P The great tragedy of an IT employee: pretending you don’t know something because surely, someone will find use for that which you aren’t supposed to know and not reward you for it. Woe is me.

As for the further development? I think I might integrate it somehow in WordPress or something. Many cool ideas possible!

I needed to update my master post, since it’s been quite some time. The following files are now available for download:

They are all converted from *.ts (by moi) to retain quality but lower the file size some.

Last PVs and some Hadaka no Shounen

It took me some time to realize I didn’t update the master post for a while. I had a few dozen V6 pvs already uploaded and known locally but hadn’t updated the online catalog. I actually started uploading some Hadaka no Shounen without realizing I forgot to upload the other half of the V6 pvs.

In any case, there’s now one half of all V6 pvs online and the other half still needs to be uploaded. Next to that a couple of Hadaka no Shounens. The last will take a longer time to process since nobody has the same file as I do. I converted all RMVB to AVI for your convenience. Unfortunately this means megaupload does not recognize the file since it’s new.

Anyways, enjoy the update.

I think I should also update the message on the front page of the Master Downloads Post, because I can’t fulfill requests that are official dvd releases; not here at least (:P). It’s only promotion videos, tv appearances and such. But still, that is gigantilous.

I’ve noticed a very interesting difference between my local development environment and my actual webhosting. In the master post this is the query that displays the artists available (if they have downloads). On my local development environment all the artists keep coming up, while on my webhosting only those with downloads show up (as they should). If I change LEFT JOIN to RIGHT JOIN I reverse the problem. lol.

I’ve updated the master post with all kinds of Shounen Club performances I had lying around. The last lives that wouldn’t upload to MU are in too. You’ll have to unpack them with WinZip or WinRar, because that’s the workaround.

This is going to make it easier for you to know which files are newly uploaded:

I’ve added another batch of NEWS lives. Some of them have their pictures missing, which will be fixed in the next upload.

Meanwhile I’ve added another function from my local catalog to the master post:

So now it’s possible to limit the number of results shown by videotype.

The new function I’m programming will show the last 50 uploaded or something in a list view with the upload date on them. Makes it a little easier to find out what’s new.

NEWS @ HEYx3 2009.04.27 HQ

Since I still didn’t see it, here’s the TS file posted on JPOPSUKI converted to a HQ avi performance (500+ mb to 82mb XVID). As usual, close to the best quality you can get without actually saving the TS. Meanwhile, I think we need more TS to avi encoders that know what they’re doing. *coughs* Last two tutorials will tell you how. Don’t be afraid to ask, if you know pretend you didn’t see this remark.

Not available from catalog yet, but here for the Talk, here for the HQ Perf.

Yes even more NEWS lives have been uploaded! I’m too lazy to check what exactly so check for yourself. Updated all the images too! If I wasn’t meticulous enough, I am now. lol. When I get some time I’ll improve it even further. Next batches of Summertime and NEWS Nippon lives are already uploading… Next is… I don’t know. Have fun, enjoy, and that sort of thing.
