Grooveshark compatibility with WordPress 3.1

I’ve never had ANY problems updating yet now I have three issues, two of which severely annoying.

When I click “Password protect”, it acts like a page target and sends me downwards instead of showing me the password dialog.

Then, if you want to insert a link into a post you get the renewed link screen, like this:

If you then insert the link it’s going to take you away from the page (again). Loss of the entire entry if you did not save the draft.

A third problem is when you try to insert a tag. You’ll be typing ‘over’ the message “add a new tag” and when you say “Add” it doesn’t add.

So what’s causing these troubles? After some research: it’s not WordPress itself, but a third party plugin. Grooveshark, yet again (!). So if you have a Grooveshark plugin, you either have to roll back to 3.0.x or wait until the developers release a version of their plugin suitable for 3.1. I’ve currently disabled my Grooveshark, see if they can come up with a new version for 3.1.

Grooveshark plug error

Well that’ll teach me to install the new plugin version very quickly:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /alternate/wp-content/plugins/grooveshark/grooveshark.php on line 559

Line 559 of grooveshark.php

*sighs* I don’t even remember what is was last time but it wasn’t any good either. Using the latest version of WordPress, curl library enabled and yes my PHP version is not 5 but it does not say that’s required so grrrr. Oh well, the service was great in the beginning but it’s getting annoying now anyways.

Goodbye Grooveshark.
