Made me go through all that trouble formulating a question to find out it’s FOS. Don’t worry, guys amongst each other do that too. It’s not _only_ because I’m a gurl but certainly they’re more prone to give answers like that. It’s because apparently this is efficient for them.. and their ego’s. You should watch them go around their way to go around their way of each other when that happens. Funniest shit ever. Sometimes I think I live to lol another day just for this. Aaahhh! A type I never want to understand, this type of guy. I always think, if you’re going to do that make sure you really know you have some info’s I wants. In the meantime, I go ask sysman. Sysman always knows, even if he doesn’t want to. That’s why his standard answer is “NO”. lol. New sysman I know can stay silent on the phone for 5 minutes. Bloody hell, that’s a record. Eventually he answers some dumbass question you asked that’s not work related with “less than enthusiasm”. I can’t help but start to smirk and giggle and say “Duuuuuuuuuuuude, you crazy”. Always so surprised to see them light up like a candle. (…) Nah, I’m not from this planet. ~alienmodus~. Sysman’s always warm up to me, even if the answer is still “No” (#38).

I’m unsure what the motive is for that, other than: “If I say yes, I can no longer say it wasn’t what we needed or that makin’ paper is useless which I sorta said not too long ago. *sweatdrop* Saying no in this case wouldn’t be bright either.”

So first I should simply “do” asin “I should know” what needs to be done ~as lowly appman~ and then I “do” something and I end up hearing birds chirping in the background. Rattamahattamahwtf. So much for intimidating me into that one. Nothing I haven’t seen before, ne sempai? That wasn’t you though, that was other Cap’ns “The Artful Bullet Dodger’s” specialty and he’s way worse. In any case, I’m not even beginning to start a war on chaos at technocats. It’s a tummy ache for them. I’ve already given up on education, since it’s a useless effort with unwilling students. I call it that but, I really mean that it’s hard for me to do my job properly if  I need to do it “the chaos way”.  I’m now using mental yello stickies with “DO NOT TOUCH, h00min” on stuff I… sort of… made myself responsible for in the total lack of any direction. Hey look! Another thing I’m absolutely great at. Wonder when I’m going to be bored? In any case, the input is still fun. I like trying and poking at difficult reports.

Other than that, trying to compensate for the lack of a boyfriend by spending my time usefully after work. Commercially as well as for ideals. It’s going to be a looooooong long time before that starts to show I reckon. Never was a woman of overflowing optimism. Only painfully humorous realism. Tell my favorite sysman’s and my significant other half I said hi.

I suspect the album title to be chosen for a reason other than “creativity”, like trying to hide it from the search engines! Either that, or it’s the dumbest marketing idea ever thought up. “NEWS” was already a badly chosen name, and now they create an album with an even more generic name. Good luck getting more exposure when people will be googling “News Live”. Interesting isn’t it?

I celebrated it last Saturday with friends. Still waiting for the pics of the monster pizza I made. lol. It was even more huge than usual since we have new tin to bake it in. It was ridiculous size, so nao I can feed 6 people all at once. Honestly, 29 is a strange age. I joke around everywhere going: “Hahaha, one year before final write-off”. Usually that offends the older people though. But what do they know? They have someone to exchange dental pieces with when they’re 65! And I don’t. *sob*. Men! Absolute fruitcakes. I could feed them, make them laugh until they choke on it and have some interesting stuffs to say on how to improve, what is good and what is bad on their newest venture, AND a bunch of *** more that is not rated PG  but definitely beyond. In the end, I’m lacking the same inputs. More of that than what you just thought little hentai!

Like I told Manu-chan lately, I’m already having the approaching 30 blues. Got about 10 years of a sense of humour left until they find me Dead in my Bathroom (DiB)! I joke about it nao, but I wouldn’t like to think I might actually get *depressed* again. Was I ever? No I was just angry until 25-ish. With reason. The only way I could go now is to eternal sadness from absolute boredom and having no way to get rid of that in my job, hobbies or extracurricular activities. Sounds familiar? Join the club for as long as I have the sense of humour to make you feel better.

I almost missed it, but it appears the rathole that publishes FRIDAY has recently done an article on Yamapi’s sister, Rina. As you may or may not know, she had a job in some politik shenanigans some while ago, though it appears she quit. Moreover the peeps up at 2CH were contemplating it might have been do to ‘sexual harrassment’. She put forth a very business like response recently. Other than her response, details nai!

I was reading that FRIDAY article and by the time I got to the Yamapi part and ‘using brother’s fame’ all I thought was “piiiiiiiiiiiiigs”. In that sense I guess it’s difficult sometimes to be the sister of your famous brother. Whatever you do or accomplish, people will be going around saying ‘you only got this far because of your brother’ anyways, regardless if you actually use it or not. Talk about a demotivational poster! Whatever she does in the future, hope she skips corporate. lol. It’s a bunch of dogs barking up a new tree every single day anyways. Individual people are ok, once they move in a pack they all have rabies. Unless you’re prepared to foam at the mouth every so often, not a great “choice” (if you can call it that, at all).

While I’m so proud I’ve managed to publish 2 articles in my native language for my other site, I’m also very impressed with the new feedburner option: socialize. It enables you to automatically post to any given twitter account you own when you publish something new on your feed.

Isn’t that a lifesaver? I love the function really. Immediate plugging. No clicks involved.

Whoever thought of that, gets a kiss from me. lol.

While I was driving to the grocery store today to get some goods for me birthday, the cd zapped to the song “Let this river flow” by Soilwork. Then figured it’s got the 6 components I really like about any given metal song.

1. 00:00-01:19 minutes. What I call the ‘indictment’. A good metal song always starts with a story. A perception / thoughts on what’s happening, whatever that might be.
2. 01:20 minutes onwards. Clean vocals on top/ over. There’s nothing more boring than the same vocals over and over, whether that’s clean, grunting or screaming. The best metal songs provide a combination of all three.
3. 02:18-02:32 minutes. Down from your gut power. I love that because if you translate music to different body parts when you listen to it, it’s boring if you have to listen with your head or your heart consistently. If music is able to take a drastic turn that goes from the head to the toenails you’re doing something rite.
4. 03:04-03:48 minutes. A victorious stage. In this case it’s a bit similar to “Phoenix rising from the ashes”. It’s usually the part that strenghtens the listener. It’s this that ‘boils the blood’ I like so much.
5. 03:48 – 04:18 minutes. Fragility. For such a macho ungirly type of music, it’s sure better capable of being ‘fragile’ than anything else I know.
6. Awesome and interesting guitars. It’s everywhere in this song so it didn’t need a good solo to make magic happen.

It remains very complex music and it won’t be for everyone; not only by sound but also for it’s confrontational style.

My friend is a bit odd. She likes to make me cry and that’s why she links this song to me every time.

Since I barely release anything anymore, I guess it’s sort of an archive site. I only visit there myself occasionally because I need the information in the tutorials for video conversion/ editing.

That was one last thing I had on my list to try for all the domains I got by now. I think I sorta got it to work…

At first I could only send mail, but never receive mail.

So I set the hostname for mail to the IP number of the server (A Record) in DNS management.

Now I can receive mail from hotmail.com but (still) not from gmail, like before. It says Relay Access Denied. So unless that’s still related to my recent DNS change I’ve got it to work without much effort. Let’s see in 24 hours.

Edit:

It’s safe to say it works, I received my first spam mail FROM A GMAIL ACCOUNT.

OF COURSE you never get to go live without problems. Once the DNS been hooked, now I can’t get *any* files through to the server via FTP. Stalls over 100k, for sure. How not amused that I am.

So far the webserver didn’t crash in on itself though. Guess I should be _lucky_.

But it was so funny..

I had trouble going to sleep last night. Usually when your head decides to review whatever’s prominent. Last 7 years have been really difficult for me, to say the least. I wouldn’t say I turned my back on corporate life, but in the past two years I’ve drastically revised my view on it. The only reason that I didn’t turn my back on it, is because I will have to deal with it. It’s not something that is a choice ne. The choice would be so easily made if it was.

A long time ago I kept saying “I want to meet bigger people”; and the annoyance about not being able to get someplace where I could grew stronger every day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not even about liking or disliking people. I can still like people even though they don’t have as much pazzaz as I do. Sometimes I see more in them and it’s not coming out. Even the reasons that it’s not coming out I seem to understand, perhaps better than they do or choose to admit to themselves. In the past I would try to get ‘good things’ out of them, too adult for my age. When that didn’t work, I pushed them to the side. I didn’t get any other choice! What did you want me to do? Continue to turn my other cheek?

You can imagine I have a bunch of experience failing to extract out of people what I saw was good. They either ignored me, smacked my hands off of them, backstabbed me, insulted me and the rest I leave up to your imagination. In turn I’d toss them to the side eventually, work twice as hard and put those same individuals out of business (e.g. have no grip on me so they would have to show me respect). I did it before, and I can do it again. I am fully aware I am capable to bring other people to their knees. There’s just one “but”. But, I don’t want to anymore. I am more than the sum of my ego. The idea I would have to constantly “respond” to disfunctional with agressive energy just sounds absolutely stupid and useless. And yet, we all do it. Whether you sorta gave up on what you’re trying to accomplish or never had anything to accomplish, you still do it.

It’s something a lot of people will probably not understand for a lifetime. It also gets increasingly harder for me to have a connection with/to a man I might be interested in and vice versa, because they seem to understand this _even slower_. No offense guys. It’s just a lot easier to appeal to a man’s ego to get fired up than a woman’s. You’re more sensitive to the words “prove yourself” for instance. When I had those words said to my face I actually had a fit of laughter. Even at the tender age of 22. XD. It was the funniest thing I heard in my entire life. It doesn’t work. Not for anyone, male or female. Beat a dog and he’ll either bite the hand that feeds or is so scared he’ll go shake in a corner. Through the course of time I’ve come to understand that the way I view the world would make a mockery of a person that’s working really hard unintended. I worked my butt off too, but with so much more pride and insight that just came way too early. I responded to it, did not ignore it and worked with it as best as I could.

That I feel somewhat regurgitated by the opposite sex also comes somewhat from this. My entire state of mind has always been and still is “out of reach” for most and it will only continue to go higher and higher, as the feelings of rejection that remain in the background are basically oil thrown on fire for me. Again, what other choice is there? Since I don’t suffer from a poor self image that energy has got to go somewhere. Poor chaps really have be darn sure of themselves they are capable of responding to me without mixing something in the equasion that doesn’t need to be there. “Leave that for the office, hun”. Mostly, I feel men don’t even want to understand. It’s amazing for me to see when someone tries to understand what he doesn’t at first glance and challenges me openly/honestly to satisfy the curiosity (without prejudice). It’s incredibly easy to catch my attention this way, I’ve noticed. “What if nobody cares?” … the answer is they do, regardless of behaviour they’re displaying practically doing the opposite. It’s good to see that beliefs sometimes do not equal attempts to address them.

“This way of being together, I’d rather be alone.” is the thought that comes next. Say, does that make me unsocialised or not ‘not up to h00min challenges’? I think not, it merely means that I understand but wish to improve, not doing anything is unsatisfactory for me. I just need to find the right footing to do so. Say, does it mean that I must change myself? I think not, even if I’d want to I can no longer go back. That’s the thing with things you know, unless you have a lobotomy you’ll remember it.

All of this is of course, kind of lonely. I hang in there, because that’s what I do best.

Yep. Transfer should have gotten through by now. Both domain statuses are “OK” whatever the hell that should mean other than what I read when I looked it up and the enom link explains “there’s no pending transfer”. I’m guessing the transfer already went through but now the new host isn’t getting a move on. My old host used enom, the new one tucows. If it’s one thing I really really hate with vengeance it’s domain transfers. I mean there’s at maximum 6 parties involved if not more. Me, new host, old host, new dumping place, old dumping place, the overseeing authority (different each time). Who the hell thought this up?

Alright, so now my primary .nl domain has moved. I’ve already set it’s DNS record to resolve to my new server and it’s working perfectly. ^o^

It also means alternate-reality.net on the other host went *black*. Unfortunately it takes a little more time for the .net domains *crosses fingers*.

I’ve transferred the contents of this blog in such a way that once the DNS resolves I should see all pictures that are not dynamically shown by WordPress based on attachment. That’s because if you add a picture instead of a gallery in WordPress it takes the URL that’s known in the settings. If that’s not your domain but your IP address it would still resolve if you change the settings but that’s not the way you want it to function. So let’s see if indeed it does switch on like a lightbulb.

Sjah, it ain’t easy moving your entire entries if you want it done perfectly. That’s why you also barely see it when someone moves their blog. They run into problems or just don’t know how. I think I ran about 20 queries directly on the database to get it to do what I want.

I cooked for myself again, since I’m not much a fan of tators. It was a lemon risotto, grilled chicken and white wine sauce with carrots. So while my mom was cleaning up after me (hehe) I heard her say from the kitchen “Hmmm that risotto is gooood”. So my dad wanted to taste it. Nao I’m making it for my parents on thursday. Yep. I was surprised too, my dad doesn’t really like rice.

It would be honestly best for me to find a boyfriend whose stomach I can fill because I always end up making too much food and getting fatter that way anyways. Here’s some calories boy, eat my food for me so it won’t get stuck on my ass.
