Maybe that’s part of the reason all the Koreans I talk to(especially Alex and Se Young) make me go It’s because they’re always interested in talking to me and having a conversation… Especially Se Young… who woke me up at 7:30 am the other day by calling me on skype while he was taking the train home after work late that night… XD

But really, my fandom and I are getting along more these days. He says less dumb things and I remained the same hothead. Now, if he could make me laugh instead of myself trying to make me laugh this would be perfect.

There’s this one show you might like, Feles, by Rachel Maddows that does a piece on this, I’ll pass it your way if I run into it again, which basically puts forth the idea that, maybe – maybe a little more than just maybe – these folks making all these noises about birth control don’t actually know what it does.

I mean, she has a point when she says that’s what it sounds like because Rush appears to be under the impression that the more sex you have, the more pills you need. Even _I_ know that’s not how that works. But how else does he come to such a dumb ass conclusion?

Maybe they should be forced to take Biology 101 again.

So, the repubs put the Blunt Amendment attached to a freaking HIGHWAY FUNDING BILL (because that’s how this screwy nation I live in roll, darn it! XD ). The amendment would have allowed any employer, regardless of religion, to deny coverage put forth in the previous mandate AND any other health coverage specified in the 2010 health care law. (Basically Feles-kun, I’m your employer, you have lung, throat or mouth cancer because of your smoking. I object because of some trumped up reason, therefore, you don’t get coverage for the treatment!…WTF??)

And of course, during the debates, the Repubs and media managed, from what studies i saw on it, to have the women who spoke on the issue to be outnumbered nearly 2 to 1 in favor of men discussing WOMEN’S HEALTH ISSUES! As you see satirized in the video I gave you.

And some of the pundits got really nasty about it, too. Basically saying that all women who are on bc are sluts and prostitutes and that it’s women’s way of being paid to have sex, sex and more sex. And then you get this wonderful example of scum, Foster Freiss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRU13_L76R4&feature=player_embedded what he says will astound you.

It was a NIGHTMARE, and I’m so unbelievably glad it wasn’t passed, so now I can go work my arse off to pay for my health insurance, which will continue to cover my birth control, and when he comes down to visit me, I can have all the sex I want with my Korean guy.
