Higher grade

Jan
27
2012

Lol. I think my grade for stats just went up because the professors decided that since everyone got question number 26 wrong, it’s no good. ^^. Rooting for the other students to be very annoying~

Sometimes I crack up from some of the questions posted by students though.

Firewall: the answer to stupidity?
One person needed something done and the firewall was blocking it, so someone else said: “Turn it off for a while then”. And then this person said: “No can’t possibly do that, can I?”. So… I told her the chances were pretty low unless Anonymous is planning something (rofl). So then she was like: “I can’t do that, because I’m on a public wifi”. I didn’t reply after that, but the first thing that crossed my mind was: “I wonder if then she actually was smart enough to indicate she’s logging on to a public network at the very least; or run her updates”.

Chick’s philosophy
This woman asks two million questions in the forum. I read one of them: why is Feyerabend called humanistic? I always thought that humanistic is like helping people, volunteer work and such? As an astrologer I went like:

:roflmao:

You go read the teachings of Uranus, dear. There’s nothing as humanitarian as non-conformism.

The ‘elite’ student
There’s always this guy (usually a guy) that has to be *first* with everything. He’s first even though he’s not first yelling something, and is making that much of a spectacle of himself he looks like an idiot using that many expensive words to make a point that is lost halfway because people will be laughing. Talk like an academic? Then it apparently does not matter anymore to be practical and to the point. Compelling argument is about the clarity of the words you’re using to describe difficult concepts: though, bloated and useless as the language is, according to many he’d make a “fine” manager.

I’m looking forward to writing my essay for Philosophy, it’ll be one in a million I’m sure. The prof might still fail me (because I have the tendency to break rules), but it’ll certainly be something that’ll raise his eyebrows. xD
