*sighs* How am I going to get rid of the fact that my blog posts show up in certain places when I link to articles? You’d say that’s what I want, but actually I don’t want this to happen without my 100% intent that it does. I’ve already shut down “Attempt to notify other blogs” in the settings, but it doesn’t seem to do much. Unless I permanently disable all Update Services (RPC Ping) I have the kind of control that I want, unless I want to stop linking completely. *scuffles around*. I don’t want to shut down ping services because it also gives me visitors I do want.

The thing is, I don’t want to stop linking because that’s what the internets was made for. Pass the info’s! On the other hand, I have absolutely nothing I’d like to share with non-friendly folk (Average Joe and Average Jane). The internets used to be simple, now I need to think about where I link every single time about what kind of people it might lure onto my blog. AJ’s (Average Joe’s and Jane’s) are either too confused or too afraid to make a fool of themselves to even attempt to comment once they land here, but give me a break… I’d like to have more control than simply just “not doing something” because it’s mining my data from update services. _-_

Perhaps there are still some things you can do about that which I’m not aware of, but I don’t think there’s a foolproof solution other than to black yourself out (damn yourself to the great bowels of the binary).
