So cute ^^;

Awww, Japanese truly qualify for the cutest people on earth. Even if I’m a one woman freak show walking around there, I’ll probably take a Japanese employee over a Dutch one any day. I’m just prejudiced that way. xD. “Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, goeiemorgen hoe kan ik u helpen” just doesn’t sound as kawaii as ^$#$*&$^ Me: Eigo? …. *giggle hai?*)

I called up just now and first off I had a woman blabbering in extremely fast Japanese. So while trying to clean out my ears at 1am in the morning I told her who I was, where I was from and … “if there was someone that spoke English”. Even if it’s the wrong number, always good to ask. She didn’t respond to “English” about 2-3 times, so I just said the mere word “Eigo” and then she went “AHA!” ding ding, quarter apparently dropped. I got put through to another person. Of course, the introduction is too fast for me to actually catch. So I said again “Hello I am blah from the flat country with a lot of cows to make the milks for cheese” (ies a joke, did not say that) and confirmed I was actually speaking to someone from that Hotel. YES! She said with full confidence. I’ve heard that one before, but for this time I’ll believe her. So I asked her a question about the reservation form, explained it, and since it sort of went silent for more than 5 seconds (uh oh) I asked her if it’s okay to make one for 10 days and another for 8. She said yes that will be fine (like that, with the additional words).I said “Oh that’s good, was kind of worried about that”. She giggles, I giggle. So you’ll be able to combine the two reservations to be from the same person?”. Then she said “Oh yes that’s fine, we know”. Then left her with a thank you for informaciuns.

Did it really help? Mmm perhaps from the last sentence it did. The giggle just makes me go “aww that’s cute” at the bashfulness. Srsly. Though honestly? That culture of theirs is a black box to me even after 9 years. Every time I speak to a Japanese person, no matter how short that period is or what it is about, I notice how much more direct and agressive our culture really is. The lack of that sends me off in mild confusion every time. Dutch are significantly more in Y’UR face, dare to say even more so than Americans. So I can imagine my type of life -here- would be sort of unimaginable in more ways than I count for someone over there. Not being a teacher, working in health care or any other chick thing certainly doesn’t help smooth that over and make the difference smaller (if I only had as much cock as the cock I whipped; roflmao). In any case, I’m happy to know there are still hotel employees that speak English enough for me to get a feeling whom I’m dealing with.

Gaijin gives random employee at front desk of Hotel a B minus. Vewy goo!
