Unbelievable differences

Nov

While I’m waiting it out for that travel agent to send me his ‘deal’, I’m keeping a watchful eye on booking sites. There’s one particular hotel that keeps fluctuating with the prices enormously. From 165 eur/ night to 116 eur a night within a week or so and it’s exactly the same bloody room, on the same bloody site! Imagine that! And imagine some person paying 165 at some point and a week later it says 116. What the hell is that? Should be forbidden, such a thing.

More updates: hmm travel agent is leaving themselves too much time. Best time to book would be next week for the flight, or at least earlier is better. It’s probably going to happen next week. I’ve actually attempted to get into a reservation system of a hotel… with success and some difficulties. I seriously want to speak with someone first; so in the middle of the night I’m going to call Japan (if I don’t fall asleep…). Just to come take the English test;) You ace it, you pass! XDD.

Unfortunately my hopes for that little adventure aren’t high.

I quote from a hotel mail: “Reservation does not become precocious“. Hell, now they speak English better than I do. I had to look that one up in the dictionary! lol. All hail google translate for reinventing language.

And confirmation urls? Well, confirmation urls you need to “stick to the browser” when clicking the URL doesn’t work. I will get a post-it right this instant.

Some poor hotel clerk in the middle of Tokyo is going to have the day of their life. I better write down a few sentences like “My Japanese isn’t that good, can you speak English?”. Just don’t ask me to explain in Japanese I’m calling because the website reservation form only goes up until 10 days and I actually need 18. It would come out telegram style (テレグラム?): “atashi denwa site-O yoyaku juu-nichi tomaru kedo juu-hachi nichi hoshii…. uh desu”. After that I will proably have to say yukkuri 20 times until perhaps one is smart enough to realize I can only understand telegrams.

I am not bullshitting, that was an actual mail to confirm a user account I made on the hotel website.

Welcome to Japan ♥
