What’d he do, phone them lyrics over?

Nov

2009

Was chatting with some people about Yama’s new single. Then I saw Yamapi’s special jweb translated. I quote:

Remembering the words was difficult, during recording, my pronunciation was corrected too, really put in a lot of effort!

In fucked, it was pretty good. I mean, in fact.
That’s the only word on the border of going wrong. Let’s just file that one under ‘things fangirls think they are hearing‘, but not really.

Because Kira pointed it out, I also went to read the lyrics for Run from you. Lyrics are written by a guy called ‘Josh Warnken’. I’m not sure what the guy did. Perhaps stayed in Japan for too long, or simply adjusted the lyrics to be readable to Japanese people. Then of course there’s the small chance he phoned them over to Japan which might explain the tighting grip, its the fact our feelings true when we kissing babe.

Let me get this straight, Yamapi gets his pronunciation checked and the rest of them fail to read over the draft of the printed lyrics in the booklet? Hmmm…

Oh well, the lot of them could always go into advertizing for Eneco ♣. Nothing will make the point that Engrish (Japanese English) is cute and Denglish (Dutch English) is slaughter except for this commercial:

Gotta love Dutch sayings butchered into English.
“Does not lay us wind eggs” and means: “Has done well for us (in business)”. The Americans in the bus probably understood “Windex” (window cleaning stuff). Dutch: “legt ons geen windeieren”.
“Beat my advice in the wind” and means: “Don’t listen to my advice”. Dutch: “Sla mijn advies maar in de wind”.
“He gets the wind from the front” and means: “He’s getting scolded”. Dutch: “Die krijgt de wind van voren”.
“They smell an hour in the wind” and means: “Really stink, and I mean really stink”. Dutch: “Stinkt een uur in de wind”.

Ahah according to the fandom grapvine, Josh Warnken is a friend of Pi’s (he’s apparently a trooper lol). So I’m guessing he might be half-Japanese or local-born. Would explain the lyrics D:

Then again, most American pop doesn’t sound like its written by a native speaker so …

I wonder if the troop went to the hospital to all get their shots together? ~you know you love me for saying that, I’m such evilness~

Ah, here comes the gap: american pop music. I am completely and utterly uneducated and not regretting that.

but considering they all fell ill like a line of dominoes, they really should have gone together :P

American pop music – it’s in the air.

Well I had a crazy woman who wrote me on my youtube (Akame yaoi fanvid related) It was in english at first cause she though I was US. It was really bad… She was really angry about the yaoi and she said she was doing lyrics for KAT-TUN. Well at that moment I understood why it the english was soooo bad. lol

After laughing at her english… she wrote me in french.

    Exemple :

Jin and Kazuya are the true friends, not the gays. you have a psycologic problem, certainly.I am shocking because you have a bad imagination about their private life.
Kazuka is a friend and I am a woman ! You will find in the web, as you like the strange stories…

    She was really funny!!!

I’m still unsure why people get so upset about that. It’s funny because, when you go write someone about something as unimportant as this it clearly indicates a severe psychological problem.

guess I’ll just have to wait..

also if you don’t mind me asking, what’s a “trooper”?

It has been put up online on the ljay comms and a famous jpop tracker;) But don’t worry, if customs adds a charge to my order (again) you’ll surely get it. *grumpy* Or rather, I’ll make sure it stays available.

I don’t mind if they ‘catch me’ once in a while but this is getting to be a habit I can’t support. They add 18 eur for ‘handling and processing’ if it gets stopped by customs; for orders under 100 euro’s that’s ridiculous.

I thought at one point it was “group that hangs out with Akanishi Jin”, but it appears the term has spread to Yamapi as well.

and that trick is very useful, I’ll be sure to use it in the future!

yes customs is such a pain -_-
wishing I could just fly over there and pick it up XD

        ohhh okay! thanks
I wonder how he gets to know him…
