Day estimation completed

Nov

2009

Alright, after some reconnaissance I got a general day estimation ready for my trip to Japan. No matter how you turn, you can only be amused in Tokyo for about 10 days. Which I have heard before from other travellers. I got another day I’m going to fill by going to Disneyland or something XDD. I never went to Paris, so I thought I’d try it. Then there’s of course Yokohama, which actually offered a lot more than I thought. Might even be able to go there twice with the amount of things listed. I recently saw “The Ramen Girl” (movie). There they talked about the Ramen museum (haha) and it actually exists (Shin Yokohama). Bet they get more visitors now that movie is out;) Kamakura I also mentioned, which is easily reachable by a single train, go Hyperdia! That comes up to the total of 14 days, I don’t mind having two days of slack – but 4-6 days of slack is a little much. So now I’m looking at Kawagoe and perhaps some other places (just) outside Tokyo. I think I will make 18-19 full days;) Being an anal retentive organizer really comes in handy.

Meanwhile one travel agency has responded to my request. When I confronted them with my wishes they did seem flexible, which travel agents should if they have some smarts these days. The intarweb changes a lot of things but one thing it doesn’t change: being able to put your requests and wishes at a travel agent helps to take the load off and you at least have some ‘backing’. They were actually listed on the FD (Financial Times, Netherlands) as one of the fastest growing enterprises over the course of 3 years. 210% in revenues. It’s only a 3 people business, but they got > 1 million in revenues. I check the color of underpants of everyone and everything, mild neurotic habit. Also registered at the required organisations, so I’m guessing they’re not a bad choice. Now let’s see what they want to earn. They have to earn a living, but of course, can’t comply with a significant amount of that going to them as a middle man.
