I don’t know, but don’t you get the impression that all in all, those definitions attempt to describe your average teenage self-called Japanophile? I am quite a bit into anime (that’s actually how it all started for me I guess) and into manga, but I can still tell the difference. I might call myself Japanophile because I allot them and their uses a bigger portion of my leisure time than I do with other nations, but that’s all. There are so many other things in life that interest me.
Adolescence. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it certainly wasn’t the age of wisdom!

Yeah; for a b/s dictionary like the urban one, they’d better learn the correct b/s to be in there. The focus on anime on that entry is just too much.

What’s with those people and anime? It’s just one part of Japan, and the “Japanophiles” described only learned cuss words from it. Obviously people should know the existence of JE, D-Boys and Ikimonogakari.
