I nearly missed this because I’m so heavily into Johnny’s. Thank God that today I was looking for more Tohoshinki stuffs and went by jpopsuki. It seems they have moved to a new tracker and that tracker is going to be INVITE ONLY very soon. So please everyone, join while you still can in an easy way.
I knew something was off for a longer period of time, because they never really did fix the RSS issues and most questions got some cranky replies. Well I’m happy to see that either the owner or some new people kickstarted the tracker into a new initiative. It remains one of the important trackers for Asian music/tv.
Here is the new site. A word of warning though: they’ve implemented a ratio system. I can’t possibly be the only one that finds the ordeal a bit confusing. As long as it isn’t too insanely strict, ratio’s are fine by me. The only thing ratio’s tend to do is let torrents die earlier. If there’s not enough peers people tend to avoid those torrents because they can’t get the ratio up. Another lag about the system: if you get a computer crash when you’re bordering you might not get the ratio up high enough.
I lol’d at this remark of staff:
“The biggest amount of our already disabled users because of ratio problems are from Japan and I’d suspect the not understanding/not reading of the ratio rules to be the cause of this.”

It seems this is now “The Lost JPOP lovers, please invite us” post. Keep in mind that I’m just your average (l)user over there, other than that feel free to comment. I’m sure they’ll open it up again for interval periods. Many torrent trackers that have gone private or are private to begin with operate on that principle. I’ll give a head’s up when that’s the case.

You guys are none too bright. Why would anyone risk inviting someone who already had their account disabled and that they don’t know? If the person you invite fucks up, I believe you are penalized, too.
if your account was disabled , there was obviously a reason. Only an idiot would risk inviting someone with a disabled account.
The ratio system isn’t had to understand.
basically, even if no one is downloading the torrent, you still get points. Every 15 minutes, you get .75 points for each torrent you seed regardless if whether someone is downloading. You can then exchange the points for GB uploaded. example: you can trade 250 points for 2 GB to help your ratio. So it really doesn’t matter if someone is downloading or not. If you keep seeding, it means someone CAN download it if they want to later. It’s pretty easy to keep a positive ratio.
Mildly annoyed you want to call anyone ‘not bright’ that’s been commenting here. Leave them be. It’s also specifically not a done practise to try and insult someone on their own blog. But that’s alright, I like pushing comments like these through.
Charity among users is the foundation of the internet. I’m prehistoric, I know how this used to work. When everybody else logged on, that was gone. Gee I wonder why? Perhaps it’s that big mouth of yours, h00min.
There was no insult at all. I was explaining the ration because it was said it was hard to understand. So I explained it.
Except for the people who said “my account was disabled, invite me”. Those are the ones I called ‘not so bright’. It’s a breach of the rules to invite anyone who has had their account banned. And expecting anyone to invite them when their account has been banned…can be classified as not so bright.
If it looks like I insulted the blog user (whether that’s you or not, I’m not entirely sure), then that’s on you for reading into it that way.
I only read three things in your two posts: not too bright, idiot, stupid and that’s directed towards my visitors, the people who commented here and yes, in small part also to me though I assure you I’m not easily offended because I don’t lack confidence when it comes to brainpower. It is the way you choose to express it that didn’t sit well with me.

Let it go already, yomiko. Doesn’t matter if you intended it to sound rude or just blunt. This entire matter could have been avoided and there would be a much more amiable feles-kun replying had you thought before you spoke. As is the only impression you left is FOF and FOS.

Oh I certainly did think before I spoke. There is a time frame between the typing and pressing submit.
The rules for inviting people:
You’re completely responsible for the people you invite. If your invitees are caught cheating or trading/selling invites, not only will they be banned, so will you. Be careful who you invite. Invites are a precious commodity.
So…yeah. You’d have to be stupid to invite some random person, esp. if their account had been banned once before.
Ahhhh….My computer died last month and when I finally got it fixed… my account was disabled…

Ok guys, mildly cranky right now. I just tried to share something. Ends up getting deleted, heck even though I searched I did not see it get posted. So I decided to be a good (l)user and try and seed from my copy to another user’s torrent. Of course doesn’t work. Nao you know why file sharing is going to hell: too many rules. ;) And this is indeed why you can’t get your stuff anymore (quickly, effectively). Someone is insisting that only 1 copy can remain and if that isn’t the copy I’m willing to share, that’s very unfortunate for you because it will get deleted.
Then I decide to share something else, immediately gets ‘reported’ for some reason. I check back, now contains capital letters, which I inputted anyways, but the requester didn’t. So in short: it took over the requester’s “capless” words and my torrent gets reported. Excuse me? That’s like having “offender” written all over your arse for no reason.
No the situation certainly didn’t improve at 2.0. Even though you might feel otherwise, the rules are a barrier to me. I’m selective in what I download, and after today I don’t even feel like sharing anymore because it either gets deleted or reported. Deleted, fine, but I can’t even help out ppl on the existing torrent. *head desk*.
1. Let people share their copies of the same thing. If I can’t help out the original seeder because I didn’t get it from them, let me upload that new copy.
2. Ratio’s basically suck. I seed because of them rules alright, that one selected file I really really really want, that I’ll seed until I regret it’s choking my line.
It’s cramped, it’s paranoid and it isn’t quite helping. I share less, I download less, and I basically get a bad taste in my mouth if I touch anything. Ease it up a little.

My account was disabled coz i was downloading a really huge file (ard 5-9gigs) was downloading some smap variety and it was in .ts format. din know till my account was disabled and i realised the huge file size.
Anyway i’ve asked for help from the Jpopsuki moderators and they told me to just request for 500 points from anyone.
I’m not asking for an invite just someone to donate those points.
