DBSK / Tohoshinki should not sing in Japanese

Aug

Honestly, I just had to get it off my chest. Yes, admitted KPOP girls, I also listen to it sometimes. Every time I’m enjoying a song, the wonky Japanese makes it unattractive to listen to. Take “Rising Sun” for instance. There’s a Korean version and a Japanese version of this song. “KIMI WA TAIYOU”…. what the hell. Speak pig latin that I don’t understand (instead of half understand).

That sounds bloody terrible in Jap.

xD this reminds me that the Japanese version of Rising Sun was recorded 3+ years ago. Their Japanese has definitely improved over time (i.e. I can actually mostly understand their recent songs) although I’ve been told by native speakers that they still have pretty thick accents.

Still, I agree that Kpop songs should stay Kpop instead of being translated and sung in horribly pronounced Chinese/English/Japanese.

Oh man, but seriously, seeing your entry was like a blast from the past.

Hehehe, I am familiar with their newer works, think I downloaded Mirotic a few months ago. But waw, that was 3 years ago? Where’s the time!
