Orthros no Inu episode 1

Jul

2009

The competition for Buzzer Beat this season, I almost missed it! XD. Around 11% of viewership for the first episode apparently. I just finished watching it in RAW, pretty much followable for me with a few lookups.

I definitely like it a lot! The only thing lame about it so far is how the people die that Ryo’s character touches. After the second one was eyeballing away in the same direction it was kind of lame. lol. Rule number one of death scenes: they need to be different every time. Just mildly different will be okay in this case.

I also never thought I’d say this; but it’s the first drama Ryo isn’t annoying me. Tackey as always is ♥. It’s possibly a challenging role for Tackey, I don’t remember him doing any ‘evilish characters’.

By the way, this is Hikaru, isn’t it?

He’s growing into his face. lol.

The lookups:

Including ‘触れて” [furete], which was kind of an important one to get in this case. lol. I had much more trouble with the word “薬” [kusuri] which I should know by now because it’s in either JLPT 3 or 4. Unfortunately it’s one of those “k” words again, which I hear as “g”. These people don’t decide to pronounce these 2 very well.

I also figured out Japanese is a horse language. Fukushu sounds like fukusheu in Dutch, like deur, neus, beurs, teut, kleuter, peuter and the all famous word every foreigner learns first: neuken, preferably in de keuken. What I mean with horsy language is because of the sound horses make sometimes ‘brrweeebrrweee’.  There’s so much loose unused air in there. I always found it funny when Japanese people are angry and talk, but because I’m now forced to listen very closely I notice more strange stuff.

Waking up: Skyfire

I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Skyfire’s new album ‘Esoteric’. I’m not much a fan of the other two albums they released, but I hope Esoteric is going to sound somewhat like Spectral. That’s bad to say because you usually want something new haha.

The only thing I have difficulties with is that when I listen to it for too long, the vocals seem to start to annoy me.

Actually, I have just listened to Esoteric through their Myspace page. Sounds good! Also sounds like it’s a different singer or.. he just grew into his voice haha. The voice is lower. The only thing I always annoy myself about on Myspace is the quality of sound. If it’s one music type you absolutely cannot listen to when the quality is lower it’s metal. It’s one of these types of music that just doesn’t do well on mp3 generally, including low volume.
