Ousama no Brunch 2009.06.06

I saw this screencap and knew I had to see it:

Now this is fanservice! XD. I love the way how Kimura Takuya is called Kimura-kun by Kame. lol. A sempai that allows it must be a sempai indeed. I know they talked about it in this file, but as this is tv variety it usually goes a notch too fast for me to actually understand everything. The more I see Kimutaku on screen the more I understand why he’s numero uno all these years.

You know what seems to bug me? There’s not enough Kimura Takuya stuff in English fandom! Ever seen how dead the smapxsmap comm is? :whip:

I wanted to wallpaper this guy and I ended up shaking the intarweb instead of poking it. Come on guys, he might be older than Feles-kun ™ but he’s still hot! Unfortunately even to ANAN he’s an old man. Check it out:

You know… he’s not like EIGHTY! WHAT THE HELL! There’s a Kimutaku comm and it has like 99 members and nobody has posted in that for over a year! *_* You would expect a small revival every time a new drama comes up but no…

Oh man, that’s tragic. I for one demand this guy gets more fandom love. ;)

you have to join smapxsmap and smapxmedia comm to see a lot of their locked stuffs. They posted clips and pics regularly but you have to be a member in order to get it. There are several messageboards for smap fans too and they posted vdo and radio clips almost every day. Smap’s english fandom is very tight-knitted ^_^

LOL, fandom love for Kimura? You can have all of mine, which is loads and loads and loads. He might not seem that much to look at on a first glance, but a couple of hours on your screen and there’s no escape! No wonder he’s been number one for so many years, indeed.

Pride is actually my least favourite of his (alongside Concerto, I think), but it is a fav of all my dorama fan friends. I mean, it’s enjoyable enough, I’ve always like Takeuchi, and Kimura looks just great in there. There’s just a tad too much testosterone and senseless fighting for my liking. Maybe he is too rough, maybe she’s too traditionally feminine, but it just gets on my nerves.

What a screencap, goodness me. I’ll need like a couple of hours to recover from that!

And aren’t I happy at least a couple of my favourite lads are actually older than me? Makes me feel young and fresh, good, good.

lol! I actually like his character there a lot. Maybe it gets too much after 3 episodes, but I guess I’ll find out. I just love an attitude. Can’t help it. Nope, after 6 episodes I still love the character. He’s impatient, passionate, cold, rude, deep, touching, everything at the same time. lol. <3. Halu might go in the history books as my favorite drama character of all time.

I must watch Mr. Brain ep 3 tonight too!

You know, it doesn’t sound half that bad XD I might need to watch it again, as everyone seems to perceive the character differently from what I did. Hmm, I am intrigued now.

And what about HER character? What do you think about that one?

  4. Feles says:

Ahahaha! Tonks, I think I know what you mean now. The end is not satisfying.

It’s obvious the character of Halu is some screenwriters “Inner Hero”; the guy he always wanted to be and every (ok many) girls dream at the same time. I guess that’s because I can understand some of the dialog so well. Like how he gets pissed off when people do not try hard enough. Stuff like that. I don’t know anymore exactly, but there were at least 3 times that I thought it was such an earnest message. Well, guess the drama name wasn’t chosen for nothing: “Pride”

Her character however showed it’s true ugly face when she went back to her “ex”. I had nada sympathy when her “ex” slapped her around and eventually said he had a gf in Canananada (Canada). Any woman with 2 braincells would have taken a risk on Halu. I would say she’s a little pretentious /hypocrite for accusing this man of a cold heart while it’s so obvious the whole time that he does the exact opposite.

I have even more Takuya on my list to watch: GOOD LUCK!!

What about going for the (relatively) older ones? I loved A Million Stars Fall from the Sky and Nemureru Mori. Seeing him playing an evil character was quite a change, but I know I enjoyed it thoroughly. Both had rather intriguing plots and so far in my experience only Maou has managed to eliminate a bigger figure of characters by the final episode than Nemureru Mori, one kept wondering who was going to be there to close the story, lol.

    Good luck…

Nice story though nothing either original or particularly engaging, really. Good, passionate, talented but carefree, handsome young man faces hardships in achieving his dream. Falls in love. Miraculously overcomes hardships. Looking tremendously handsome in the process as well. Oh and there are planes, and blue skies and things.

But I really enjoyed it and it’s still somewhere in my collection, so I wouldn’t keep anyone from watching it. It also has some very funny moments. If only I liked uniforms…!

Heh, it is dangerous getting me started on the subject of Kimura XD Fangirl, who?

p.s: Completely agree on what you write about the ending of Pride. It was sort of ok until she gets back to her ex, gets slapped and he finds no other way to help than to slap the ex back, regardless of the consequences. I think I’d have enjoyed it if she had had a bit more of a spine. At least both would have an attitude and I sure like that.

Nemumeru mori = Sleeping forest? I saved that one, still have it! I loved it as well, especially the U2 track when it became mushy XD. I wanted to rewatch it recently too but apparently I was being too distracted.

You can talk to me about Kimutaku any day you want :D
