“Tire go flat? No the other ones just swailed on up on me!”

I was going home and just when I passed Weert my car began to do funky things. At first I thought “Is the wind really blowing that hard?” So I opened up the window on the right side but no wind. Then I opened up the left one and hear “grrrrrrrr” (metal-asfalt contact). So I got myself to the right side of the road near an exit to see what’s up. I was half expecting my exhaust would be broken off again because I heard the metal sound. By the time I stopped I smelled some serious rubber. But noo! I had a flat! b00!

I called the ANWB and they were there in 10 minutes and put the spare on. Just my luck! I was driving 130 km/h or something when my car began to wobble like crazy. Only when I got home I thought I was a lucky bastard. That’s my kind of luck really. When bad stuff happens I have luck. I never have “just normal luck”.

Just before leaving I remember my coworker saying “Get home safely/ Drive carefully“. If I was actually paranoid;) But no. Pranks they pull but not play with someone’s life. Of course I am going to take the opportunity to barge in there tomorrow and say with a serious face: “What did you do to my tire, you asshole~!” (and then laugh, in that particular order). XD

Later my dad inflated the tire to see what was wrong with it since you can’t obviously see it, it seems there was a single puncture that just below the trim/grip. I didn’t drive over anything that I know of and it was fine this morning, so weird.

Pirate bay goes corporate

I just read it… just about everywhere. Surprised and not surprised at the same time. I read the details but honestly I don’t need to read further if you can buy shares into this new company. This is a monumental happening though. If they shut down the pirate bay that’s a big blow to the file sharing community. A lot of private and public trackers appear to have a lot of torrents but actually don’t. I’m suspecting a significant drop in bandwidth usage, well the first few days. After that every other existing tracker is overloaded.

It doesn’t matter really, there’s going to be 20 new trackers by tomorrow. Perhaps finally usenet will be used properly again? Beats torrents, though you’ll have to pay for good retention.

The taco flu

Yesterday it was announced that someone had the mexican flu. Apparently those in personal contact were notified, but nobody knew who it was. Now ‘unofficially’ we know. Luckily I don’t think I’ve been into contact with this guy. They warned about this on the news a while ago ‘companies could go bankrupt’ if too many employees are sick.

Oh well. I will get a severe cold once the autumn starts so this time I will probably have to call the doc to be sure I don’t have the taco thing.

348 days later, he made a joke

While making that “anti” post, I came across this entry which was the inspiration for one those capshuns. Exactly 348 days later he manages to fulfill that promise in yesterday’s jweb.

His sense of humour is so terrible it’s funny.
