Documentaries

2009

I’m already addicted to National Geographic and Discovery and stations like that, but sometimes I have a hunger for more documentaries. Today I saw Michael Moore’s “Sicko”, about the American health care system. I mean, waw, that’s farkin’ crappy. I’ve always loved Moore’s documentaries, heh, guess he’s just right up my alley. What’s so interesting about it is because you see what ideas are so surprising to Americans really. Stuff that has become so normal for us, like health care. Sure not everything is perfect here, but looking at that documentary stuff could be a whole lot worse. XDD So Michael Moore experienced European health care. It’s more or less the same everywhere.

I also watched “King Corn”. About two college graduates buying a piece of land and cultivating corn and then tracking it how it ends up in food. If you’re thinking, it might be similar to supersize me, you are probably right but not right at the same time. The western food diet? Starch starch and more starch. The movie actually starts with the guys having their hair tested and finding out there’s serious traces of corn in it. lol.
